About Catena-X

Catena-X is the data ecosystem for the automotive and related industries. It provides a shared language and a unified way to communicate data. Once connected, companies can exchange data based on common standards and rules. This enables a wide range of use cases in areas such as sustainability, supply chain resilience, and quality management. Cofinity-X is the first operating company of Catena-X, responsible for registering all companies, hosting of a marketplace for apps and services, and provisioning of the required technical infrastructure. In addition, Cofinity-X developed its own solution Dataspace OS to facilitate the data exchange through its applications.

About Dataspace OS

On the one hand, Dataspace OS offers the Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC) connector which is a technical requirement for data exchange in Catena-X. The EDC connector is every company's technical access point to Catena-X, a software allowing participants to publish, discover and manage data offerings within the ecosystem. Dataspace OS, the EDC connector by Cofinity-X, is available on AWS infrastructure.

On the other hand, Dataspace OS offers applications to help companies exchange data easily for the most frequently asked use cases in the Catena-X data space. Company Certificate Management (CCM) is an application that comes included for free in the Dataspace OS offering, as add-ons we have upcoming applications for traceability (block notifications) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data exchange.
