The core is the exchange of supply chain key information between partners within a horizon of up to four weeks, including:
• Item Stock: Visibility of current inventory levels on both sides
• Short-term Material Demand: Forecast of materials needed for production
• Planned Production Output: Anticipated production output quantities
• Delivery Information: Scheduled and actual deliveries and their details
• Days of Supply: Information on how long the inventory on hand will last

1. Join the Catena-X ecosystem
To getting started with PURIS in Catena-X, your company first needs to have an active registration to the Catena-X dataspace through Cofinity-X.

- Receive your Business Partner Number (BPN) and the required Catena-X credentials

2. Identify your supply chain partners
Define which customers and suppliers will participate in the PURIS process and establish the required data-sharing agreements. Decide on data you want to exchange with your partners like information about your inventory, demand, production and delivery.

The Cofinity-X Marketplace hosts certified PURIS solutions. Choose the app that meets your business needs:

Before you can exchange data within the ecosystem, you need to set up your technical environment.

- An EDC connector (dataspace connector)
- Registration of your EDC connector in the Catena-X ecosystem
